A strongly performing distributor in the Cramerton, NC area is conducting a search for a Web Developer to develop, maintain, and continuously improve its websites and digital experiences. This position will work closely with internal marketing, creative, e-commerce, and leadership teams to build responsive, user-friendly, high-performing web experiences that support the company's brands and business objectives.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in modern back-end web development and is comfortable using current technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, to improve development speed, troubleshoot problems, automate repetitive work, and identify new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, test, and improve company websites and web-based experiences.
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to translate designs and business requirements into functional web experiences.
• Maintain and improve website performance, page speed, mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and usability.
• Troubleshoot website bugs, technical issues, browser compatibility issues, and performance problems.
• Support website integrations with third-party platforms, APIs, analytics tools, marketing platforms, and other business systems.
• Implement technical SEO best practices and support website analytics and conversion tracking.
• Monitor website health, security, performance, and functionality.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, documentation, testing, research, and workflow automation while maintaining appropriate human review and quality standards.
• Evaluate emerging web-development and AI technologies and recommend tools or approaches that could improve company websites or internal development processes.
• Work with internal stakeholders to prioritize website enhancements and technical projects.
• Assist with e-commerce functionality and digital customer experiences as applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Web Development, Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional web-development experience.
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, testing, debugging, and modern development practices.
• Understanding of website performance, accessibility, SEO, analytics, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Demonstrated competency using AI-assisted development tools as part of a professional development workflow.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, security, performance, and maintainability rather than relying on generated output without review.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with non-technical team members.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in continuously learning new technologies.

Benefits & Work Environment

• Hourly range: $38–$43, commensurate with experience
• Paid time off
