Design, build, deploy, and operate enterprise AI-agent and workflow-orchestration products on Microsoft Azure. This role owns capabilities across React and TypeScript user experiences, Python and FastAPI services, AI-agent frameworks, secure cloud integrations, observability, infrastructure as code, and production deployment.

The engineer translates complex AI and business-process requirements into reliable platform features, including visual authoring tools, agent and workflow runtimes, versioned APIs, YAML configuration models, evaluation systems, authentication flows, and telemetry pipelines. Ownership extends from technical design and implementation through automated testing, staged rollout, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.

## Responsibilities

- Design and implement full-stack capabilities for AI-agent builders, workflow editors, playgrounds, evaluation systems, and runtime services.

- Develop React and TypeScript applications using Fluent UI, React Flow, state management, REST APIs, and YAML or schema-driven configuration.

- Build asynchronous Python services and APIs using FastAPI, Pydantic, Microsoft Agent Framework, Azure SDKs, OpenAI-compatible clients, and MCP.

- Implement agent orchestration, tool execution, streaming responses, context propagation, workflow branching, human-in-the-loop steps, and external-service integrations.

- Integrate Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI into secure enterprise applications.

- Design authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth/OBO, managed identity, JWT, RBAC, service principals, tenant boundaries, and scoped token forwarding.

- Instrument distributed applications with OpenTelemetry, Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Event Hubs, and Kusto analytics.

- Provision application, identity, monitoring, and data-ingestion resources using Azure Bicep.

- Build and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Pytest, Jest, Testing Library, and Cypress.

- Support containerized CI/CD and staged deployments through Azure DevOps, OneBranch/1ES, Ev2, and Safe Deployment Practices.

- Diagnose cross-layer failures involving browser state, API contracts, asynchronous execution, authentication, telemetry, cloud resources, and deployment configuration.

- Produce technical documentation and collaborate with product, design, security, platform, and operations partners.

## Required qualifications

- Strong software-engineering experience with Python, TypeScript, React, and RESTful or asynchronous APIs.

- Experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, frontend state management, API integration, and automated testing.

- Practical knowledge of LLM applications, AI-agent orchestration, prompt configuration, tool calling, streaming, and evaluation.

- Experience with Azure identity, monitoring, messaging, analytics, or AI services.

- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, managed identity, RBAC, JWT, OBO, and secure service-to-service integration.

- Experience with distributed tracing, structured logging, metrics, and production diagnostics.

- Experience defining cloud resources with Bicep or another infrastructure-as-code technology.

- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, staged cloud deployments, and production support.

- Ability to own features across frontend, backend, infrastructure, tests, and operational readiness.

## Preferred qualifications

- Experience with Microsoft Agent Framework, AutoGen, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, MCP, or declarative agents.

- Experience building graph-based or low-code workflow editors with React Flow/XYFlow.

- Experience with Azure Container Apps, Event Hubs, Azure Data Explorer/Kusto, Application Insights, and Azure Monitor.

- Experience with OneBranch/1ES, Ev2, Safe Deployment Practices, or enterprise compliance pipelines.

- Experience designing YAML schemas, import/export systems, versioned APIs, and frontend/backend serialization contracts.

- Strong debugging skills across authentication, asynchronous lifecycle management, streaming, and telemetry ingestion.
