Your Role

We’re seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join a high-performing delivery team supporting a leading financial services client in Wellington. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of secure, scalable, and customer-focused mobile applications used by thousands of users.

This role will include:

1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift (and Objective-C where required)
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, UX/UI, backend engineers, and QA
3. Build and enhance mobile features that deliver seamless and secure customer experiences
4. Integrate APIs and backend services, ensuring performance and reliability
5. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
6. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards
7. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in production and test environments
8. Ensure mobile applications meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards relevant to financial services
9. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices

About You

1. Proven experience as an iOS Developer / Mobile Engineer
2. Strong proficiency in Swift and experience with Objective-C (desirable)
3. Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, Combine
4. Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, VIPER, etc.)
5. Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON
6. Knowledge of secure coding practices, particularly within financial or regulated environments
7. Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control (Git), and Agile delivery methodologies
8. Experience with automated testing (unit/UI testing frameworks like XCTest)
9. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
10. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
