About The Role

GrabJobs is seeking a highly skilled Front-End Developer SME to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping the user experience of our web applications, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with the latest industry standards. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical authority in front-end development, providing expert guidance on architecture, best practices, and accessibility compliance. This position is remote, allowing the candidate to work from their home office on an EST schedule, with the requirement of US citizenship and an active Public Trust clearance. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in front-end development, including at least 7 years in a senior or SME role within IT or government projects. Certification requirements include the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation, with a favorable Tier 2 – Moderate Risk Public Trust investigation as a minimum. Additional certifications such as CompTIA Sec+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II are preferred. Candidates should demonstrate deep expertise in React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end practices, especially within cloud environments like AWS and Kubernetes. Knowledge of federal accessibility standards such as USWDS, ODG, and WCAG 2.2 AA is essential. Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications, Agile certifications like CSD, security credentials such as CSSLP, and accessibility certifications like CPACC or WAS.

Responsibilities

The Front-End Developer SME will serve as a technical leader, guiding the development of scalable, reusable, and accessible web interfaces. Responsibilities include designing and implementing responsive UI components using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, ensuring compliance with federal standards such as USWDS, ODG, and WCAG 2.2 AA. The candidate will conduct code reviews and enforce best practices to maintain high-quality, secure, and performant codebases. Collaborating closely with product owners, UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders, the SME will define technical approaches and ensure seamless integration of front-end solutions. The role involves optimizing front-end performance, managing API integrations, and supporting CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins. Mentoring junior developers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and skills development is also a key aspect of this position. Acting as a liaison between design, accessibility, and development teams, the SME will ensure project alignment within an Agile framework, facilitating smooth communication and timely delivery of features.

Benefits
