Target Salary Range*: $75,000 - $120,000.
*This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary
Position Overview:
The Amatriot Group is seeking a Front-End Developer to support the modernization of benefits claims processing systems for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a long-term, fully remote position supporting a high-impact federal mission to improve Veterans’ access to their records through a centralized application redesign.
Key Responsibilities:
- Redesign and implement UI components for a centralized VA records processing application
- Develop and maintain user interfaces using Angular and React frameworks
- Ensure application responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility in accordance with Section 508 compliance standards
- Collaborate with back-end developers, designers, and product owners in an Agile team setting
- Contribute to UI/UX enhancements with a focus on usability, consistency, and performance
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups
- Support integration with APIs and Python-based back-end systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end bugs, performance bottlenecks, and user experience issues
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen; ability to obtain and maintain VA Public Trust clearance
- Minimum 5 years of front-end development experience, particularly in federal or enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience with both Angular and React
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Familiarity with Python in a front-end/backend collaborative setting
- Experience with 508 compliance and accessible design best practices
- Proven track record working in Agile/Scrum environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Familiarity with Figma or Adobe XD for UI mockups
- Experience developing front-end applications that consume RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of DevSecOps environments and CI/CD pipelines
- Previous involvement in large-scale legacy system modernizations
