41NBC News is looking for a creative, fast-moving Digital News Content Producer who understands how local news lives across broadcast, web, streaming, and social media.

This position is for someone who can spot compelling moments, write clean copy, make strong editorial decisions, and move quickly when news breaks. The Digital News Content Producer will help grow the 41NBC News brand by producing and distributing content across 41NBC.com, social media, OTT, and other digital platforms.

The right candidate should be curious, organized, accurate, collaborative, and comfortable working in a newsroom where speed and judgment both matter.

What you’ll do

The Digital News Content Producer will create, edit and publish digital content for multiple platforms, including text, photos, video, vertical video, and streaming content. This person will identify strong moments from newscasts and reporter packages and quickly repackage them for social media, web, and OTT audiences.

This role is responsible for helping manage social distribution, posting stories to 41NBC.com, writing articles as needed, assisting reporters with digital content from the field, and making editorial decisions about what should be posted, promoted, or covered.

The Digital News Content Producer will also help stream newscasts and news content online, insert breaking news and weather updates immediately, monitor competitors’ digital and social platforms and coordinate with producers, reporters, field crews, digital vendors, and newsroom leadership.

When needed, this position may also help update scripts with late-breaking information, produce special events, breaking news or weather cut-ins, and serve as a backup newscast producer.

What we’re looking for

• Four-year degree in journalism or a related field preferred.
• Producing experience preferred.
• Strong writing, grammar, spelling and punctuation skills.
• Ability to write in clear broadcast and digital news style.
• Strong news judgment and understanding of depth of coverage.
• Ability to make quick decisions under deadline pressure.
• Working knowledge of newsroom equipment and capabilities.
• Ability to operate a non-linear video editor.
• Understanding of legal and ethical issues in journalism, including libel and slander.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well with reporters, producers, anchors, photographers, managers, and digital teams.
• Professional, courteous, and respectful communication.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be available by home or cell phone when needed.
